Director Steven Spielberg hires. .. director David Lynch to play an as-yet-unknown character in Fabelmans.
While Universal Pictures is set to release this coming Thanksgiving holiday, The Fabelmans feature film will be the first collaboration between David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Dune, A Simple Story) and Steven Spielberg (Lincoln, Ready Player One, West Side Story), two filmmaking talents that emerged in the 1970s: Makosko Krieger. While plot details remain confidential for now, the film is described as autobiographical as it is inspired by Spielberg’s childhood in Arizona, USA.
Michelle Williams and Paul Dano will play characters inspired by Spielberg’s parents, while the role of Seth Rogen is said to have been influenced by Spielberg’s uncle. Gabrielle LaBelle plays budding director Sammy, a Spielberg counterpart, and Julia Butters plays his sister Ann. The cast also includes Judd Hirsch, Sam Rechner, Oakes Feegley, Chloe East, Jeannie Berlin, Robin Bartlett, Jonathan Hadari and Isabelle Kusman.
