Nearly ten years after its release on PS3, The Last of Us will return with a remake on PS5. Rochelle Snyder, Communications Manager at American studio Naughty Dog, explains how the game was recreated for the next generation: “Thanks to the technical and material progress made, we have been able to push the boundaries of visual fidelity and interactivity. We’ve redesigned the gameplay, improved controls, and added accessibility features for this solo mode so that as many people as possible can enjoy it. Effects, research, and combat have also been improved. We harness the power of PS5 with 3D audio, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The Last of Us Remake will be available on September 2 exclusively on PS5. A PC version is in development.
In addition to the Standard Edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition will grant access to the Quick Craft skill, the Quick Heal skill, the 9mm reload speed buff, the magazine capacity buff for rifle hunting, the Explosive Arrows game mod, the Punk Vibe filter, the Speedrun mode, and also six weapon skins (Black Gold for the 9mm Pistol, Silver Filigree for the 9mm Pistol, Rubber for the Tactical Rifle, Carved Oak for the Shotgun, Arctic White for the Bow, and Soot for the Bow).
