TikTok is testing a repost button, but what exactly can it be used for?

Until relatively recently, when you wanted to repost something on a social network like Instagram, you had to download the content to your device and re-share it. However, today reposting has become a very common action, and now platforms have built-in features that allow you to do it with one click or one or two taps, which makes the operation extremely fast and easy. And today, it looks like TikTok wants to start too.

TikTok is testing a “Repost”button

Those who use TikTok frequently and would appreciate having a repost feature will probably be happy to hear that this feature could be coming very soon. Indeed, if Matt Navarra’s tweet is to be believed, TikTok is currently testing a repost button. At this stage, we can only speculate about the function of this button, but it’s safe to say that it allows you to repost the TikTok video you just watched.

But what exactly can it be used for?

At the moment, it is also impossible to know how this option works and where it will be possible to repost the video. Unlike Instagram, where users can post photos and videos to Stories, TikTok doesn’t (yet) have that feature. It is possible that this repost option may be accompanied by a TikTok version of Stories. In fact, the Repost button will allow you to repost a TikTok video to your stories.

At the moment, no one knows when this feature will be available to all users. One thing is for sure, it is currently extremely limited as it is just a test. In other words, don’t be surprised if you don’t see the corresponding button in your TikTok app. And if you want to take advantage of this, you will have to be patient.
