This Thursday evening, TrollStore developer Opa334 released another giveaway to potential users in the form of TrollInstaller2.
Announced on Twitter Thursday night, TrollInstaller2 is a redesigned version of the original TrollInstaller that supports all versions of iOS and iPadOS from 14.0 to 15.4.1 (or 15.5 beta 1 to 4). By comparison, the original TrollInstaller only supported iOS and iPadOS versions from 15.0 to 15.1.1.
Referring to the TrollInstaller 2 GitHub page, while the project supports iOS and iPadOS versions 14.0-15.4.1 (and 15.5 betas 1 to 4), it currently only works on devices with A12-A15 (arm64e) chipsets. The installation process requires a Mac and the user must have access to THEOS and the iOS 14.5 SDK.
It is worth noting that this is the first official Opa334 project that supports the installation of TrollStore on any firmware newer than iOS and iPadOS 15.1.1. While users could initially use the Ramdisk SSH method to install to new firmware, TrollInstaller2 is more user friendly and will make upgrading to newer TrollStore versions easier for end users in the long run.
For those who don’t already know, TrollStore is a jailbroken app that can permanently sign almost any file. ipa. This process is comparable to downloading non-published applications, except that users do not need to re-sign the applications they install because they are permanently signed.
The developer opa334 is constantly announcing new updates via Twitter, but we will continue to update our readers on the latest developments as they become available, so be sure to stay tuned!
