Earlier today, following the debut of iOS 16.0, iOS developer Opa334 released an update to the TrollStore permanent signature utility for iOS and iPadOS 14.0-15.1.1 with bug fixes and improvements. And now it seems that the second TrollStore update was released on Monday evening.
TrollStore version 1.0.10 is now available to the general public with even more bug fixes and general UI improvements that will make the user experience smoother. Referring to the changelog on the project’s GitHub page, here’s what’s new in the latest update:
- Fixed an issue where TrollStore could crash on startup (although OTA updates via tar should still work in this state)
- Implement a visual enhancement to the TrollStore application border.
Existing users can choose from several methods to install this TrollStore update, including using the developer’s OTA link or using the third-party Shortcuts app extension we showed you last week. Alternatively, users can do it manually from the project’s GitHub page.
TrollStore has become more and more popular in the last couple of weeks as users realize how powerful this utility is. It can permanently install any file. ipa (modified or not) to your iPhone or iPad on supported firmware using an exploit. Permanent signing means that users don’t have to re-sign these apps every seven days, as would be the case with alternative download options such as AltStore or Sideloady.
It is worth noting that TrollStore can only be installed on iOS and iPadOS 14.0-14.8.1 if you have a jailbreak, but on iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1 it can be installed in a jailbreak state. If you need help installing this tool on a jailbroken iOS or iPadOS 14 device, you can follow the steps in our recent guide.
