The great thing about TrollStore is that you can use it to permanently sign apps even on devices running iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 betas) without jailbreak, and with its elevated privileges you can install apps for tweaking the operating system in ways that you would otherwise need to jailbreak.
With the newly released TrollStore app called TrollTools by iOS developer SourceLocation, you can do the following:
- Customize app icons without pop-ups in the style of shortcuts that affect app launches.
- Customize the appearance of passcode buttons
- Customize the appearance of app icons on the home screen.
In the demo video above, courtesy of the developer TrollTools to showcase what the app is capable of, we see all the different ways you can use the aforementioned features.
If you feel a hint of déjà vu after watching TrollTools, it might be because we previously showed you a TrollStore app called Mugunghwa by iOS developer Soongyu Kwon, which also provided ways to customize icons and passcode buttons. You may also think of BlizardBoard, which unlocks app icon themes via TrollStore.
TrollTools is a comprehensive solution that the developer claims is both secure and stable in the /r/jailbreak release message. However, it is worth noting that the app is only compatible with iOS and iPadOS 15 devices, while Mugunghwa works with iOS and iPadOS 14 as well. However, some are not so lucky that Mugunghwa’s passcode button setting function worked properly, which would be not worth it.
Given that TrollTools is a free download and a secure all-in-one solution, we think it’s definitely worth checking if you have a TrollStore installation installed on your iOS or iPadOS 15 device. Those who would like to give it a try can head over to the GitHub page . to learn more about it and/or download it.
