TrollTools, one of the most popular system tuning apps that supports permanent signing with the TrollStore utility, was updated to version 2.1 on Saturday by an iOS developer with a host of improvements that users are sure to love.
Tonight, the developer announced the latest TrollTools update via Twitter with little insight into what’s new, and from what we can gather, these are the key changes in the 2.1 release:
- Improvements for themes such as alternate icons, faster theme selection, and an “Apply Changes”button.
- Ability to use gradient colors for notification icons on the home screen.
- Faster application of settings
- Password buttons should now be the correct size.
- And more…
TrollTools provides the ability for hackers and non-hackers to do interesting things with their iPhones and iPads, including but not limited to:
- Themed app icons without intrusive WebClip notifications based on the Shortcuts app
- Passcode themed buttons to look different than out of the box
- Customize the appearance of notification icons of app icons on the home screen
The TrollTools app is one of two competing apps, the other being Mugunghwa by iOS developer Soongyu Kwon. Both applications can do pretty much the same thing, but each uses its own methods to do so. Both developers often claim that their methods are the best, so from a user’s point of view it’s in-between and we really don’t think you can go wrong with either.
Also, if you have a brand loyalty penchant for TrollTools, then today’s update will be a must. TrollTools version 2.1 is available from the project’s GitHub page and can be downloaded and signed using the TrollStore app on iOS and iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some iOS 15.5 beta builds).
