The sequel to the co-op zombie shooter from Turtle Rock Studios is coming to an end.
The independent American studio behind Back 4 Blood, as well as Left 4 Dead and Evolve, has decided to mobilize all their teams to create a new license:
2022 has been an unusual year for us. First of all, we would like to thank you all for making Back 4 Blood what it is today. With three expansions (Tunnels of Terror, Children of the Worm, and River of Blood), we had a fantastic adventure together outside the walls of Fort Hope. But this phase of our war against the Ridden is coming to an end. Turtle Rock Studios is pretty small for a AAA game studio. There aren’t enough of us to keep working on content for Back 4 Blood while we prepare another game – yes, another game! So, it’s time for us to put our heads down, get back to the lab and get to work on our next project.
