Ubisoft recently released their latest earnings reports and finally confirmed that the upcoming Avatar game is due out in 2022. Likewise, Skull and Bones has been in development for almost a decade, and after a series of cancellations, revivals, and development changes, the game looks like it’s finally getting ready for release. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is being developed by Massive Entertainment, a studio from The Division.

Ubisoft has pretty much confirmed that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be released before the end of the publisher’s fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2023.

Ubisoft confirms Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones could release in late 2022 or early 2023

If Avatar really does come out this year, it’s surprising that Ubisoft has been quiet about the game to this extent. Players didn’t see a lot of gameplay, or even a cinematic trailer detailing the game’s story and world.

So far, players only have a vague trailer and a promotional description of the game that reveals little. The Avatar franchise seemed to be gaining some life, especially with the new trailer for Avatar: The Path of Water, Cameron’s greatest work coming out this year.

Skull and Bones, on the other hand, didn’t get much promotion from Ubisoft either, but leaked gameplay footage earlier this month indicates it could be a potentially interesting multiplayer project. The other major Ubisoft project due to be released by March 31, 2023 is Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.
