Strikerz defines the UFL as a “fun, competitive, realistic and dynamic”version of the world of football.
Scheduled for this year on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One, UFL’s ambitious free-to-play game will receive regular updates and new features without requiring payment or an annual subscription. This new soccer sim is designed to be purely skill-based, with an unbiased and disability-free matchmaking system. It will have several modes to choose from, such as non-league online matches, two-on-two or three-on-three matches, as well as online matches with friends, offline mode for casual play, special events, missions, challenges, and personalized tournaments. But the flagship mode of the new rival to FIFA and eFootball will be a divisional-ranked global online league.
“We have great respect for everything that has been done over the years in football video games. But at the same time, we feel that the community wants change. Our goal with UFL is to create a game that is free from the issues that hinder the development of the genre,” said Evgeny Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz (a studio affiliated with Vizor Games and Playrix). “We paid a lot of attention and respect to our partners, because in our case they are not only to show presence. You can call it the UFL method, but we believe there are better alternatives to a club partnership than just buying a license. Our goal is to give players a new level of connection between clubs and their fans. We will announce a release date when we feel ready for it.”
