It’s no longer just a sci-fi movie idea. With Apple Watch, contactless payments may now be made in a matter of seconds. The process has just been simpler with Apple Pay.
How to configure Apple Watch for Apple Pay
You can activate Apple Pay on your Apple Watch in one of two ways. The first one uses your Apple Watch, and the second one uses an iPhone that is connected to your watch.
Additionally, you’ll need the card (or just the necessary details) that you wish to add to Apple Pay.
How to add a card from an iPhone to an Apple Watch
Get your iPhone’s Watch app open. Select the “My Watch” tab. Go down the page and click Wallet & Apple Pay.
Cards that you’ve already added to other Apple devices will show up here. One of these cards may be added:
- Next to the card, tap Add.
- Type the CVV of the card.
- On your Apple Watch, you can also personalize the notifications and alerts for Apple Pay. Tick If you want Apple Pay notifications and alerts on your watch to match those on your iPhone, select Mirror my iPhone.
- The Watch app will encourage you to generate a passcode if you don’t already have one for your Apple Watch because doing so is necessary in order to use Apple Pay.
- The Terms & Conditions should be read. Agree.
- Pick your preferred method for Apple Pay card verification. Click Next.
- Select Done.
If you want to include another card that isn’t already on the list:
- To continue, tap Add Card.
- Select from the Transit Card, Debit or Credit Card, or Apple Account.
- Use your iPhone to scan your card, or manually enter the information.
- Check your card and then hit Done.
