Previously, Realme announced that it will introduce the world’s fastest charging technology at MWC 2022 on February 28. The brand has already confirmed that it will unveil its GT 2 series at the same event.
While Realme has not shared any details about the charging speeds it will introduce, it was expected to be around 150W ultra-fast charging. But according to a new report from Gizmochina, Realme is expected to introduce a 200W fast charging adapter.
Realme 200W charger leak
It was previously reported that Realme will showcase 150W charging technology at MWC 2022, which was supposed to be based on Oppo’s 160W charging technology. But it looks like Realme will go further.
The leaked image confirms that Realme is working on a 200W charger. The manufacturer has not yet confirmed anything about the charging speed. As we can see in the image, the Realme 200W charger is painted white and looks bulky.
In regulatory texts printed on the charger that provide more detailed information about the charger, its model number is VCK8HACH. The printed power ratings indicate that the maximum output power is 200W (20V – 10A).
In addition, the text confirms that it will support 45W USB PD (Power Delivery) charging. Xiaomi previously announced its 200W charging technology, which is said to charge a 4,000mAh battery in 8 minutes. As such, we can expect Realme to make a similar announcement with its ultra-fast charging technology. But it won’t be the world’s fastest charging technology, as Xiaomi is already claiming the title.
Previously, Realme introduced 125W UltraDart fast charging technology that charges a 4000mAh battery in less than 20 minutes.
However, we’ll have to wait for the brand to unveil the world’s fastest charging technology on February 28th. The Realme GT 2 series is also due to launch on the same day in Europe.
