Oppo is getting ready to launch the Oppo A96. Last week, we exclusively shared a promotional poster for an upcoming device. Now Sudhanshu Ambhore, a popular leaker, has shared renders, full specs and pricing for the upcoming Oppo A96 smartphone. Oppo’s upcoming mid-range phone will feature a Snapdragon 680 processor and a 5,000mAh battery.
Let’s take a closer look at the Oppo A96’s design, visuals, specifications, and price.
Visualization and design of Oppo A96
The leaked renders show typical design language. On the front of the device is a bezel-less display with a hole-punch cutout (upper left corner) and a large chin. The back of the device shows a dual rear camera setup and an LED flash inside a rectangular camera module.
The right edge of the device will make room for the power button, which will also double as a fingerprint scanner. And on the left side there is a SIM card tray and volume buttons. The speaker grille, 3.5mm audio jack, main microphone, and Type-C port are on the bottom edge. While an additional microphone can be seen along the top edge.
Specifications and features of Oppo A96
The A96 will feature a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412×1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will be protected by Panda protective glass. Under the hood, the Oppo phone will have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor coupled with an Adreno 610 GPU. It will come pre-installed with Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 operating system.
Oppo A96 will offer dual rear cameras and LED flash. The main sensor of the device will be a 50-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture. It will be accompanied by a 2-megapixel sensor. For selfies and video calls, it will offer a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The phone will come with a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging support. It will have a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dual stereo speaker, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of connectivity, it will offer dual SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS and Galileo.
The Oppo A96 will measure 164.4×75.7×85mm and weigh 191 grams. The phone will be sold in only one configuration – 8 GB + 128 GB at a price of $260.
