While we got a “first look”at Apple’s upcoming flagship iPhone 14 series last year, right before the launch of the iPhone 13 models, there seem to be some design changes since then. Now, the same Apple tipster, Jon Prosser, has delivered what could be called the most accurate look at the iPhone 14 Pro models. We expect to see the new iPhone series later this year, in September, if all goes according to plan. As pointed out in several leaks and rumors over the past few months, the series could include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
iPhone 14 Pro: Larger rear camera expected
Prosser’s new iPhone 14 Pro renders are featured in his latest Front Page Tech YouTube video. In the video, he talked about what design changes will affect the iPhone 14 Pro models this year. The biggest visual change comes at the back of the smartphone in the form of a much larger camera plateau. Prosser says the cameras in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be bigger due to a new 48MP camera with a 57% larger sensor and 8K video recording capability. While it may not be very noticeable on the larger Pro Max version, it will definitely be noticeable on the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro model.
iPhone 14 Pro: welcome tablet + hole punch, bye-bye notch
In line with what has been rumored and leaked previously, Prosser adds that there will be a pill hole+ design on the front that will include the front camera along with sensors and replace the existing notch. A slightly larger screen can also add to the overall weight of the device. Adding to the change is the iPhone’s increased corner radius for a more rounded appearance. The reason for this could be the large rear camera setup.
iPhone 14 Pro: new purple color
Finally, in the video, the renders also focus on the new and unique purple color that hasn’t been seen before on the Pro models. It can be along with graphite, silver and gold color options.
He also spoke a little about the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models. The two devices are likely to have almost the same design as their predecessors and run on the A15 Bionic processor instead of the rumored A16 used in the Pro models.
