Motorola recently launched its flagship smartphone Edge 30 Pro. The company announced its premium smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. After the launch, the company is now working on launching a budget G-series smartphone. The Motorola Moto G22 could be the next smartphone from the Lenovo-owned company.
There is currently no information on a launch date for the G22. Ahead of the launch, design renders of the upcoming budget smartphone have leaked online. Motorola will soon release the Moto G22 to global markets. Ahead of the launch, the device’s design renders reveal some key features. The phone, firstly, will come with 4G network support. It will be powered by MediaTek Helio G37 SoC. It will be paired with a PowerVR GE8320 graphics unit.
Motorola is expected to launch the phone with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone will offer support for storage expansion via a microSD card up to 1TB. The leaked design renders show the phone has a punch-hole display. The chin is quite thick compared to other frames. WinFuture claims the phone has a 6.53-inch OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate support. It has an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner located on the side above the power button.
On the back, there is a quad-camera setup. The phone has a 50 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture. There will be an 8MP ultra-wide camera sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top edge.
Under the hood of the upcoming Motorola smartphone will be a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. It will run Android 12 out of the box. The phone must have a MyUX layer on top of Android. There is currently no word on the packaging and availability of the device. According to the report, whenever the phone is announced, it will only be available in black.
