The Oppo Reno 8 series is expected to launch in June 2022. The Reno 8 series will be the successor to the Reno 7 series, which was launched in China back in November 2021 and arrived earlier in 2022. The upcoming Reno 8 series will also have three models: Oppo Reno 8 SE, Reno 8 Pro, and vanilla Reno 8.
Among the three devices in this series, two devices will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity series chipsets and one will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The news comes from a popular whistleblower on Chinese social media platform Digital Chat Station.

In addition, the tipster also reveals that the other two devices in the Reno 8 series will be powered by the Dimensity 1300 and Dimensity 8100 SoCs, respectively. Reno 8 SE may ship with Dimensity 1300 and Reno 8 Pro with Dimensity 8100 SoC.
The 5nm Dimensity 8100 is an octa-core processor with four premium Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.85GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz. The chipset is paired with an Arm Mali G610 GPU to handle graphics and gaming content. Dimensity 1300 is built on a 6nm process and is an octa-core chip with one Arm Cortex-A78 ultra-core processor up to 3 GHz, three Arm Cortex-A78 super-cores and four efficient Arm Cortex-A55 cores, as well as a 9-core GPU Arm Mali-G77.
Apart from the chipset, Oppo Reno 8 is said to support 80W fast charging, Adreno 662 GPU, AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate and more. Oppo Reno 8 series device powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is expected to launch this month in China.
