Motorola became the first smartphone company in the world to launch a device with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The company launched the X30 in China, which is rumored to arrive in other markets as the Edge 30 Pro. While we wait for the device to arrive in India, a new report has revealed details about Motorola’s next flagship smartphone. Moto’s new flagship smartphone, codenamed Frontier 22, is in the works.
The USP of this flagship smartphone will include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 “Plus”. As the name suggests, the new Snapdragon flagship chipset will have improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Let’s take a look at the specifications, features and other details of Moto’s upcoming flagship smartphones.
Moto Flagship Smartphone Design Rendering
Motorola launched the Moto X30 a few weeks ago in China, and a new report has leaked information about the company’s next flagship. WinFuture has uploaded design renders of Motorola’s upcoming flagship. It will have a rectangular camera module with a triple camera on the back. The device is said to feature a 200-megapixel main camera sensor with OIS support. It will also feature a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom. The phone has a 60MP front camera for selfies.
On the front, the phone has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display. It will support 144Hz refresh rate and will be HDR10+ certified. It will run Android 12 out of the box. The phone will come with three storage options – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB.
The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC. Qualcomm hasn’t unveiled the rumored chipset. However, the flagship platform may receive a mid-year update with some minor performance improvements.
Under the hood of the device will be a 4500 mAh battery. It will come with 125W fast wired charging and 30W or 50W wireless charging. The device is said to go on sale in July 2022. At the moment, there is no official announcement from Motorola about the launch of the rumored flagship.
