French esports team Team Vitality has developed a unique Web 3.0 program that offers its fans exclusive experiences and rewards.
Thanks to a completely free ecosystem based on support and earnings using the Tezos blockchain, Team Vitality fans who own the V.Hive Pass were able to get their hands on the V.Hive Genesis Egg, which turned into an NFT avatar. Fully customizable, it consists of seven parts, namely body skin, mask, eyes, hair, antennae, wings and mouth. Each body part will have multiple variations, giving a total of over 700,000 possible combinations, making each avatar unique. Each variant of the avatar is ranked according to its rarity level, which means that the rarity of each piece combined gives the overall rarity score and therefore the value of the avatar. The rarer the combination of avatar body parts, the higher its value.

Mason Edwards, commercial director of the Tezos Foundation, said:
This is a major milestone for Europe’s biggest esports team as the blockchain and gaming industry continue to build a fan- and player-centric future. Team Vitality’s decision to select the Tezos blockchain as a technical partner is another signal to the established and growing gaming industry that low emissions, scalability and ease of use are key factors for the next wave of blockchain technology adoption. I’m happy to see Team Vitality join the Tezos community.
How to get the Team Vitality NFT avatar?
For Team Vitality fans who don’t have the V.Hive Pass, let alone the V.Hive Egg – Genesis, the only way to get an NFT avatar is to buy it from another fan on the secondary market. For reference, each avatar is 100% owned by its owner and serves as a digital ID for Team Vitality fans.
