A brand new map is coming to the new Fortnite season

Chapter 4 of Fortnite is open, the first season is full of new stuff.

After the explosive finale in Chapter 3 of the Battle Royale game, a new season of Fortnite has arrived. Chapter 4 introduces a brand new island to fight on. This one offers a whole bunch of fantasy-themed attractions, including a castle called the Citadel, ruled by the Timeless. There is also Anvil Square, a small medieval town in the heart of the forest. In another part, players will be able to find the abandoned Frenzy Fields farm.

Chapter 4 also introduces a few new gameplay features, and if this season had a theme it would be mobility. The Trail Thrasher motorcycle allows you to perform stunts and fire weapons on the go. You can also jump over obstacles by running on them. Also, in areas where there is snow, you can use a pickaxe to create a snowball, hide in it, and surprise enemies.

Probably the most interesting addition is the reality reinforcement feature. At regular intervals during the game, you will be able to choose one of two random buffs that you will keep until you die or win the game. Light Fingers, one of 22 Reality Amplifiers available at the start of this season, allows you to reload weapons using light bullets faster. There are also new weapons, such as the shock wave hammer, which you can also use to push yourself or your allies towards enemies or send them flying.

With the first season full of novelties

From a technical standpoint, Epic has moved Fortnite to the latest version of Unreal Engine. On PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, players may experience ray tracing on shiny surfaces and water.

Who says a new season also says a new battle pass needs to be bought and played. Among them are Doom Slayer, the protagonist of Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, as well as Geralt de Reeve from The Witcher saga. The Incredible Hulk skin is also coming to the store soon. Chapter 4 Season 1 is now available.
