Next-Gen Cyberpunk 2077 Coming Early 2022 With Major Update

The latest call from investor CD Projekt has revealed quite a bit of information about Cyberpunk 2077 and the next-gen version of the game. Since its launch, the community has been anticipating a next-gen version of the CDPR role-playing game, set to arrive in late 2021.

However, the plans have been put on hold and it looks like Cyberpunk 2077 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is set to arrive in the first quarter of 2022. platforms will also come along with the next generation version. The next generation version of the game will be a free update for those who already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One.

Cyberpunk 2077’s next major update will release alongside the next-gen version in early 2022.

Patch 1.31 was the last major update to the game.

It looks like CD Projekt Red is now starting to cut support for the game to keep up with the expansion. As fans may remember, the studio has assured fans that Cyberpunk 2077 will get all sorts of DLC as well as a multiplayer mode.

However, right now there is a lot of work to be done in terms of support before moving on to expansions and multiplayer. The next major update will most likely mean that the game will be as close to the experience that CDPR envisioned for the game at launch. The game has had a renaissance of sorts in terms of support lately, as it quickly soared up the sales charts during the Fall Sale and even made a difference in terms of Steam rankings.

Right now, the game finally has a “mostly positive”review on Steam after a long period of swinging between mixed and negative.
