Watch our AirPods Pro 2 video tips
Our videographer Harris Craycraft (@_craycraft) has taken it upon himself to walk you guys through some of the basic steps after purchasing a new pair of AirPods Pro 2.
This includes pairing the headphones, changing some of the default settings, and tweaking the touch controls. He then details Apple’s new, redesigned charging case that now supports MagSafe chargers (in addition to Qi chargers and wired charging via Lighting as before) and is compatible with Find My.
Finally, the video shows how to check the battery level of the earphones and the case itself, which now reports the battery level to the iOS “Batteries”widget without AirPods inside. Harris will also tell you everything you need to know about charging options, as well as how to reset your headphones and pair them with another device.
AirPods Pro 2 Key Features
Apple unveiled the second-generation AirPods Pro at an event on September 7th.
The $249 headphones feature a new Apple headphone chip dubbed “H2″that provides 2x more noise cancellation, improved transparency mode, six hours of battery life (30 hours with case), and more.
They come with an improved charging case with a built-in speaker and an Apple U1 chip for Find My compatibility – now you can use this service to find a misplaced or lost charging case regardless of each earbud.
Keep in mind that two features of the new AirPods Pro—personalized spatial sound profiles and finding a case using Find My—will remain unavailable on iPad and Mac until iPadOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura arrive sometime in October.
