Marvel Studios is losing Victoria Alonso after nearly two decades of work.
Marvel Studios historical producer Victoria Alonso has decided to step down as president of physical production, post-production, visual effects, and animation production without giving a reason. She joined Marvel in 2006 as head of visual effects and post-production and helped launch Iron Man in 2008 as a co-producer, and co-produced Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011) and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) before he became lead producer on The Avengers (2 012).

She has also served as an executive producer on Marvel films and Disney+ series, including Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as well as on Loki. Holiday edition of Ms. Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy. Note that Victoria Alonso was known for being outspoken on issues of diversity and inclusion last year when she asked Bob Chapek, then-CEO of Disney, to speak out against anti-corruption laws. She also stated that she already had a “45-minute interview”with the CEO to ask him to show “courage”.

While neither Marvel nor Victoria Alonso has announced a reason for his departure, it comes at a time when Marvel films like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania and series like She-Hulk Attorney at Law have been criticized for their less than spectacular use of visual effects. It should be noted that the investigation revealed that she was the cause of disastrous working conditions in her visual effects department.
