Vivo Y75 4G with Helio G96 and 50MP camera to launch on May 22: everything we know so far

A couple of months ago, Vivo introduced the Vivo Y75 5G. Now it looks like the company is gearing up to introduce the 4G version of the Vivo Y75 in the country. However, it is worth noting that Vivo released a smartphone with a similar name in 2017 – Vivo Y75.

According to a new report from 91Mobiles and ZeeBusiness, Vivo may launch the Vivo Y75 4G on May 22nd. The phone could have a 6.44-inch display, a MediaTek Helio G96 processor, and triple cameras on the back. The upcoming Vivo Y75 4G is expected to feature a 6.44-inch FHD+ waterdrop notched AMOLED display that houses a 44-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is reported to have an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 SoC under the hood. The Y75 4G may be available with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

There is an in-display fingerprint sensor and support for up to 4GB of expandable virtual memory. Vivo is likely to equip the Vivo Y75 4G with triple cameras on the back, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP tertiary camera.

The Vivo Y75 4G can be powered by a 4020mAh battery that is said to support 44W fast charging. The phone, according to the report, is 7.36mm thick and weighs 172 grams. The device will boot Android 12 out of the box.

Vivo could be priced under $287 for the Y75 4G. As a reminder, the Vivo Y75 5G is sold in one 8GB + 128GB configuration for $287. The Y75 4G is different from its 5G counterpart in many ways. For example, the Y75 5G only supports 18W speeds, while the 4G is said to support 44W fast charging.
