iPhone and iPad Owners Should Update Their Device Immediately

iOS and iPadOS 15.3.1 fix a critical vulnerability. The update should be done as soon as possible.

If you have a new enough iPhone or iPad to run iOS 15, you’d better download and install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS as soon as possible. Apple has just released iOS 15.3.1, and if, as usual, this version fixes a certain number of more or less important bugs, one of these patches closes a security hole that can have dramatic consequences if it is used.

iOS and iPadOS 15.3.1 Fix Critical Vulnerability

For those who are wondering what this flaw is, know that the vulnerability in question is present in WebKit. This allows hackers to create a website that will then execute code without the victims noticing. According to the Cupertino-based company, “launching malicious web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple was informed in a report that this vulnerability may already be actively exploited.”

The update should be done as soon as possible

As follows from the comment by the Apple brand, it is possible that attacks using this vulnerability have already been carried out. In other words, it’s not a flaw that Apple has discovered or brought to its attention that hasn’t been exploited yet. We don’t really think and update our iPhone or iPad as quickly as possible. Prevention is better than cure.

This update has already been released, so it is available for download. If you don’t want to wait for your device to prompt you to install it, go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap General, then Software Update. You should then see iOS 15.3.1 or iPadOS 15.3.1.
