Leaked case images reveal Apple Watch Pro size

Australian insider Sony Dickson has tweeted images of protective cases that accessory makers have created from their own leaked CAD drawings.

Assuming these technical drawings and CAD renderings are correct, the Apple Watch Pro will be noticeably larger on your wrist than any current model.

The image at the top of the post accurately illustrates just how big the upcoming Apple Watch Pro could be. The bottom half of the image shows, from left to right, a black protective case for the 49mm Apple Watch Pro, a 41mm protective case for the Apple Watch Series 8, and one for last year’s Apple Watch Series 7.

The Apple Watch Pro display must measure 1.99 inches diagonally. In comparison, the 41mm version of the current Apple Watch Series 7 has a 1.691-inch display, while the 45mm version has a 1.901-inch display.

It’s not reflected in the CAD drawings, but the new set of straps for the Apple Watch Pro will be quite wide and fit with the extreme sports theme. There will also be some pretty informative faces for fitness metrics. https://t.co/jSD0KZGe1b

According to trusted Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Pro will have a flat display and round sides. Mark also says that new bands will be created specifically for the Apple Watch Pro that “play with the theme of extreme sports.” On top of that, there may be “some pretty informative faces for fitness numbers.”

Who’s ready for the biggest Apple Watch to date?

Mark Gurman, Bloomberg’s trusted Apple reporter, called the rugged Apple Watch Pro Apple’s biggest smartwatch to date.

Another possibility is that Apple keeps the SE price for the SE 2 and then keeps the original Watch SE at a lower price. But given the similarities, this seems unlikely. It would also be strange if Apple didn’t discontinue the regular iPhone 13 given the similarity to the regular 14.

With a screen seven percent larger at 49mm, Apple Watch Pro is rumored to be “slightly larger”than the current Apple Watch Series 7, which has a 45mm screen. While it “won’t have those rumored flat sides,”Gurman insists the device’s display will be “larger than most wrists.”

The leaked CAD rendering shown above indicates that the rugged Apple Watch may also have a programmable button on the left side that the user can assign to various functions, such as starting a specific workout. In addition, this model may have a protrusion on the right side, in which both the digital crown and the side button are integrated.
