What are baby traits in the New Sims 4 update?

There are 6 baby traits in the new The Sims 4 update i.e. Cautious, Calm, Sensitive, Intense, Wavy and Sunny. Players are only allowed to choose one of these once they’ve finished customizing. As mentioned earlier, choosing the right trait is very important as it directly affects the personality of an infant. For a better understanding, let’s see how each trait affects a child.

  • Cautious: If you choose the Cautious trait, the baby will be free with the Sims they know. But it will take time to get comfortable with new experiences, and will also hesitate to try new activities.
  • Calmness: As the name suggests, children with this trait are very calm and easy to handle. This means that you don’t have to worry about them getting upset, angry or tired quickly. But on the other hand, they won’t want to explore something new without you.
  • Sensitivity: Babies with this trait are very sensitive and tend to try as soon as they experience a little discomfort. But the good thing is that they are unlikely to wake and disturb you as soon as they go to bed.
  • Intense: If you go with this trait, you better be prepared for some chaos in your life. Babies with this strong trait are quite difficult to handle and tend to show off their emotions loudly. On the other hand, if you look at the professionals, they are very easy to entertain.
  • Wiggle: Babies with the wiggle trait are very active and energetic. This means that you may have to play with them all day to keep them happy.
  • Sunny: If you’re planning on choosing Sunshine, you should expect a happy kid who will giggle at little things. Such babies will also be very cheerful and kind to other Sims. However, a good, very kind attitude towards strangers can get them into trouble. And it will be your job to take care of the threats.

What is the best trait to pick for babies?

In The Sims 4, we recommend that you choose calm or sunny traits for your child. This is because, as mentioned above, babies with these traits are quite easy to handle and won’t bother you in between your household chores. But if you’re looking for some trouble, then using the Sensitive or Intense trait will be the right trait for you. However, whatever their traits are, just make sure you take care of them. Or you may end up with the Unhappy Infant reward trait rather than good traits like Top Notch and Happy Infant.
