Honor Play 30 Plus 5G Launched with Dimensity 700 SoC and TÜV Rheinland Certified 90Hz Display: Price, Specs

Honor has unveiled a new budget 5G smartphone. The Honor Play 30 Plus is the company’s affordable 5G smartphone. The device comes with entry-level specs for a 5G phone. However, it features a premium design similar to what we saw on the Honor 60 series. The phone has a pill-shaped camera module with two large round rings inside. One of the two rings holds the LED flash and an additional lens. It is not yet known if the device will appear in other markets outside of China. The Honor Play 30 Plus launched in China comes with three storage options. The base 4GB RAM variant has 128GB of internal storage and is priced at RMB 1,099. There is also a variant with 6 GB of RAM, priced at 1299 yuan. The 8GB RAM option costs 1,499 Yuan. All three options offer 128GB of internal storage.

The device is available in four colors – black, blue, gold and silver.

Specifications and Features

The Play 30 Plus 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood. It has up to 8 GB of RAM. The phone has a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. The company offers 128 GB as standard. Users can expand the storage using a microSD card.

Behind – installation with two cameras. The phone has a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel front camera inside the water notch.

The phone features a 6.74-inch TFT LCD display with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It is TÜV Rheinland certified and has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7%. The screen also has a 90Hz refresh rate. The Play 30 Plus runs Android 11 Magic UI 5.0 out of the box. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 5.1, etc.
