The Honor X30 was launched in China and is a mid-range smartphone with decent enough specs. The overall specification is in line with what you would normally expect from a smartphone in this range, and since Honor is a brand that is not influenced by Huawei today, it also comes with Android OS and all the flexibility it brings with Google’s app ecosystem.
Honor X30: prices
Honor X30 is available in two variants – with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, and the other with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The first costs 1499 yuan and the second costs 2299 yuan. Both variants will go on sale in China on December 24, and there is no word on international availability yet.
Main characteristics
The Honor X30 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with the aforementioned RAM and internal storage. It features a 6.8-inch IPS display, a Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a center-aligned front camera punch-hole. The display offers mostly uniform bezels, with the exception of a slightly thicker chin which is seen quite often.
At the back of the smartphone, there is a large symmetrical circle that houses the Honor branding as well as the rear camera module. The latter offers a 48-megapixel main camera, as well as a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The overall design looks excellent and almost outweighs its weight in terms of looks – at least in the photos.
Other key specs include Android 11 with Honor’s MagicUI user interface, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support that can reportedly deliver 80 percent power in 30 minutes. The smartphone will be available in black, silver, gold, and blue color options – with silver and blue color options with a gradient finish.
