Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S22 series at Unpacked 2022. The company has released three premium Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphones. Along with the vanilla S22, there’s the Samsung Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra succeeds the Note series with a dedicated S Pen slot. There is a quad camera on the back. The device is expected to launch in India soon alongside the vanilla S22 and S22 Plus. Samsung Galaxy S22 series price
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was released in four memory configurations – 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 1TB. The base variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and costs $1,199. Pricing information for the other three storage options will be announced soon. The phone was released in Phantom Black, Phantom Green, Phantom White and Burgundy.
The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ are available in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB versions. The Galaxy S22 costs $799 while the S22+ costs $999. Both devices are available in Phantom Black, Phantom White, Phantom Green and Pink Gold.
The RAM and storage options of the Indian variant were leaked hours before launch. Samsung is expected to unveil the devices in March.
Specifications Galaxy S22 Ultra
The top model S22 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with QHD+ resolution. The screen is curved and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The Ultra model also has the brightest display of any phone, with a peak brightness of 1750 nits. It has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ to resist drops and scratches.
The flagship smartphone features a quad-camera setup on the back with a 108MP f/1.8 main camera sensor. It features a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual 10MP sensors. One of the 10MP telephoto lenses has an f/2.4 aperture and can shoot at 3x optical zoom. The other 10MP sensor can shoot at 10x optical zoom and has an f/4.9 aperture. The 40 MP front camera for selfies and video calls is located inside the cutout for the camera.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging, 15W wireless charging. It also comes in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 SoC variants, depending on the region. Rumor has it that in India, Samsung will release a phone with a Snapdragon chipset. The phone runs One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. It has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Galaxy S22 features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, while the S22 Plus has a 6.6-inch screen. Both phones support 120Hz refresh rates and have a maximum brightness of 1300 nits.
The S22 has a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support. The Galaxy S22+, on the other hand, has a 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging support.
Both phones are equipped with a triple camera. There is a 50MP main camera, as well as a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera sensor and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 30x space zoom. There is a 10MP front camera for selfies. Like the Ultra model, both devices come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 SoC options. They download One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
