Is Apple’s mixed reality headset finally pushed back to 2023? It is reported by Bloomberg.
Apple’s first mixed reality headset should hit the market sometime in 2022, according to rumors that have been circulating for some time. In other words, already this year. Very interesting information since it has been “confirmed”several times, and even exciting for those who are waiting for what Apple can do with these technologies. That being said, this headset will eventually be pushed back to 2023, according to a recent Bloomberg article.
Is Apple’s mixed reality headset finally pushed back to 2023?
Apparently, this delay will be due to a number of technical problems that Apple is facing and which would force the Cupertino-based company to rethink its schedule and therefore postpone marketing until next year. It looks like there are software and hardware problems, especially at the camera level, and the system will also be a victim of overheating.
As some will remember, Apple delayed and then ultimately canceled the launch of its AirPower wireless charging mat due to overheating issues. I hope this doesn’t apply to this mixed reality headset. In any case, since this is a completely new category of products, there is little risk that the apple brand will simply cancel its project.
It is reported by Bloomberg.
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple could still unveil its device in 2022, at the end of the year, but not offer it for sale until 2023. It is also possible that the Cupertino-based company will use WWDC 2023 to focus on developers and allow them to build an ecosystem for this mixed reality device and subsequent devices.
And to be completely precise, Apple has never officially confirmed its plans for a possible mixed reality headset. Therefore, no date for the presentation, let alone marketing, can ever be confirmed. It’s hard to really talk about the “report”, but those who are eagerly waiting to see what the apple brand has to offer in this market will have to wait a little longer.
