It was leaked earlier this week that one of the biggest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla expansions will be called “Dawn of Ragnarok”and will feature Eivor as Odin in a 9-realm adventure. It looks like these leaks were true as Ubisoft just released a new trailer for Dawn of Ragnarok, also confirming a March 10, 2022 release date.
The trailer shows Odin fighting various frost and fire enemy types, as well as the appearance of Ragnarok’s harbinger, Sutra. The story seems to be centered on Odin trying to bring back his son Balder from Sutra. The expansion will be available on both the latest generation and next generation consoles, meaning it will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Epic Games, and Ubisoft Connect. However, these are only the big adventures that Ubisoft has in store, as they also just announced Crossover Stories between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Odyssey.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC expansion and crossover stories
Ubisoft also just revealed that Valhalla and Odyssey will be getting a new free story. The Crossover Stories trailer also acknowledges the physical resemblance between Randvi and Kassandra, much to the delight of Assassin’s Creed fans. Crossover Story will feature Eivor and Kassandra/Alexios, depending on who the player chose to play as, similar to The Odyssey. Crossover Story will bring new environments to explore in each game as well as a rich storyline.
This is the first meeting between the two Assassin’s Creed heroes, apart from the moment when Ezio stood in front of Altair’s corpse. In order to play the Valhalla crossover story “The Doomed Encounter”, players must reach Settlement Level 4 and complete the “Wise Friend”quest.
For Odyssey to play the “Those Who Treasure”story, players need to complete Chapter 1 and reach Megaris. However, it is recommended that players complete the game’s main story, all three arcs, to better avoid spoilers. The crossover story will be available in both games starting December 14, 2021.
