With Beta 3, Google has confirmed that Android 13 is in its final stages and the company will focus on refinement and performance in the next updates. The main theme of the newest version is still based on privacy and security, developer productivity, and support for tablets and large screens. The company is following the previously announced Android 13 release schedule and there will be another beta in July, ahead of the final release which could take place in August or September.

Android 13 Beta 3 is now available for Pixel devices

The Beta 3 update is now available for Google Pixel 6 Pro, Google Pixel 6, Google Pixel 5a 5G, Google Pixel 5, Google Pixel 4a/5G, Google Pixel 4 XL, and Google Pixel 4 devices. Google is also asking all app and game developers to start final compatibility testing now and get ready to publish updates as soon as possible before final release. The same applies to all developers of SDKs, libraries, tools, and game engines. Beta 3 brings no major changes to the update. However, there are a few minor additions.

Beta 3 introduces a new fingerprint unlock setting UI on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. The web search option in Pixel Launcher can be enabled in the main settings of Pixel Launcher. Introduced a couple of months ago with the Pixel feature, battery widgets are now larger in Beta 3.
