The OnePlus 10T was announced just a month ago, and we’re already getting details on OnePlus’ next big flagship. Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) and SmartPrix have created a OnePlus 11 Pro render that appears to be fast approaching release. The report states that these images are “based on an early prototype of the device.”
Of course, the camera bump has to look different every year, which is why the OnePlus 11 Pro now has a big circle on the back. In the same way that the OnePlus 10 and 10 T’s camera bump connects to the side of the phone, this circle sits on a similar platform.
One returning feature that didn’t make it to the OnePlus 10T is the OnePlus trademark warning toggle. This is a three position switch on the side of the phone that allows you to switch between vibration and silent mode.
The front end seems largely unchanged; it has a punch-hole camera and a display that curves along the long edges. The front camera on these renders is in the top left corner of the display, not in the center. Additionally, the phone is expected to launch with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which will power most 2023 flagship Android phones.
We’re still waiting for a more China-centric Oppo-enabled version of OnePlus to get into some sort of release rhythm. The OnePlus 10 Pro was announced on January 4th for China and didn’t arrive in the US until mid-April. The wildest OnePlus rumors out of China claim that this date could be pushed back a bit as OnePlus’ ‘flagship 2023’ will actually be released in December 2022. The timing of the launch of new smartphones mainly depends on the availability of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen processor. 2 SoC, but even a December launch won’t necessarily make a OnePlus device the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone in the cutthroat Chinese market. Xiaomi, which regularly releases its new flagships in December, is rumored to release them this November.
