Wondery offers the first Dolby Atmos podcasts for total immersion.
Have you ever wished your podcast sound was a little more immersive? If so, you are in luck if you subscribe to Wondery+. Dolby and Wondery just announced that the Amazon-owned podcast studio will be the first platform in the US to offer Dolby Atmos content.
Wondery brings first podcasts to Dolby Atmos
From today, you can hear Blood Ties, Jacked: Rise of the New Jack Sound and Iowa Chapman and The Last Dog in this immersive audio format. Wondery intends to offer Against the Odds in this format “in the coming months”.
Dolby Atmos episodes and content are offered exclusively to Wondery+ subscribers. For $5/month or $35/year, you get ad-free access to the entire catalog. Subscribers are also entitled to exclusive episodes. And while Wondery is the first American podcast studio to use Dolby Atmos, immersive audio will also be available in 28 other countries.

Dolby explains that it is “actively working”with other platforms to offer more podcasts in Atmos audio. The company is currently partnering with Earshot in India and Anghami in the Middle East and North Africa. If the Wondery catalog doesn’t suit you, other series from other chains may be coming soon.
Amazon acquired Wondery in late 2020, shortly after introducing podcasts to Amazon Music. The podcast studio has made a name for itself with series such as Blood Ties and Dying for Sex and has launched an ad-free subscription service. Amazon and Wondery are also offering their users other benefits, such as the ability to listen to How I Built It by Guy Raz a week in advance.
