The action of the new add-on World of Warcraft Dragonflight will be set right in the heart of the ancestral home of the mighty dragons of Azeroth.
Dragonflight will focus on the return of the Dragon Aspects, Azeroth’s magical guardians that disappeared after the events of the Cataclysm expansion. Players will travel to the mysterious and still hidden Dragon Isles to explore five areas, each dedicated to one of the five aspects of the dragon. The new World of Warcraft expansion will also add a new race/class combination called the Drachhyr Evokers, a race of dragon-like humanoids with ranged damage and healing abilities tied to the draconic aspects. However, unlike the Worgen, the Draktir can only belong to the Challenger class, and this class is associated with the Draktir race.

Legendary,” says Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard Entertainment. “In addition, we have completely overhauled many game systems to ensure that World of Warcraft continues to provide the enjoyment that community members have come to expect from this expansion for years to come. ”
What’s new in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight
- Discover the Dragon Isles: By reaching a new level cap set at level 70, players will discover the ancient wonders and secrets of the Dragon Isles in four brand new areas: the Elemental Force-seething Shores of Awakening, the vast On’ar Plains, the icy peaks of Azure Span not to mention the majestic spiers and temples of Taldras.
- New playable race/class combo: Players will be able to threaten their opponents (or buff their allies) as the Draktyr Summoner, the first character type in World of Warcraft to combine race and class. They will be able to customize their humanoid and draconic forms and choose between Alliance or Horde before embarking on an adventure. They will also use the power of dragons to focus on healing or ranged attacks.
- Soar the Skies: Dragonflight debuts in Dragonflight, a brand new skill-based form of air travel that allows players to ride their very own dragon from the Dragon Isles to slice through the skies. As players progress through the expansion, players will be able to customize their dragon, unlocking new appearance options and abilities that will allow them to fly further and faster.
- Redesigned Talent System: With the new talent system, players will be able to make creative and original choices without losing effectiveness, and more importantly, each level will offer them interesting options.
- Improved Professions: Dragonflight offers those who want to excel in creating a host of new features and tools to match their ambitions, including player-defined teams, new profession gear, and an all-new specialization system.
- UI Redesigned: Dragonflight is redesigning the World of Warcraft UI, and has improved the appearance of the minimap and other elements. The new options also allow players to customize various aspects of the interface to suit their preferences.
