Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming soon to the Meta Quest 2 headset so you can play your favorite games on a giant virtual screen.
Video games have changed a lot in recent years. And that continues today, especially with the advent of cloud gaming. There is no shortage of solutions in this segment and they are starting to become more democratic. Thus, it becomes possible to play the latest and most resource-intensive games on the most modest devices, with a simple screen and connection. And soon, right in virtual reality.
Xbox Cloud Gaming Service Coming Soon to Meta Quest 2 Headset
Soon you’ll have another way to access games from the Xbox Cloud Gaming catalog beyond consoles, PCs, tablets, and other smartphones. The Redmond-based company is working with Meta to offer its cloud gaming service on the Meta Quest Store, which means it will be available on Meta Quest 2 headsets and possibly even the recently announced Meta Quest Pro.
Play your favorite games on a huge virtual screen
Game Pass Ultimate membership is required to play Xbox Cloud Gaming. So in Meta Quest 2 you will be able to play console games from the service on a giant virtual 2D screen, so you won’t be playing the VR version of the games that way. Plus, you won’t need to use the Quest 2 controllers. You can connect your Xbox controller directly to your Quest 2. For the ultimate gaming experience, of course.
Unfortunately, Microsoft and Meta have not given an exact date for the availability of the Xbox Cloud Gaming service for the Menlo Park headset. Let’s hope the two giants provide more details very soon. To be continued!
