Xbox Game Pass has clearly been the cornerstone of Microsoft’s success in this particular generation of consoles. Mainly because their approach differs from focusing not only on the console, but also attracting new fans from the PC side and even mobile devices. Last year, Game Pass brought a huge benefit to gamers as it collected great games for both PC and consoles, worth $6,300 to be exact.
According to a new report from The Loadout, it has been estimated that the Xbox Game Pass in 2021 was able to deliver a total value of $6,317.35, which directly converts to INR 477,612. For a service that costs Rs 489 per month for PC and Console and Rs 699 for Ultimate, this is a pretty staggering value proposition.
Xbox Game Pass has reportedly given $6,300 worth of games to subscribers.
Loadout was also able to calculate the cost of games each month last year, as well as the total cost of Bethesda’s Game Pass add-ons since acquisition. Game prices are based on the base price of each game in the Microsoft Store.
The Bethesda acquisition saw dozens of games from Bethesda and their studios appear on Game Pass in March. March’s Game Pass add-ons total $964.17.
The numbers clearly show just how much Xbox Game Pass has changed in the last year and that it will only get bigger and better in the coming years. Such a value proposition has also reportedly led Sony to offer a similar service, scheduled to launch in spring 2022.
