Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the most recent video game successor to the continuation of the series. This is an RPG that features the respective futures shown in previous games. Since monsters are the main elements of the gameplay, you will encounter them as soon as you start the game. With the launch of XC 3, several types of monsters were also added. So here is our guide to all the monster types in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
All types of monsters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
There are four types of monsters that you will encounter as you progress through XC 3. They are common, elite, unique, and lucky monsters. With the exception of Normal type monsters, all monsters have a visual cue above their head.
Let’s look at all these types of monsters in more detail:
Ordinary monsters
You will encounter these monsters quite early in the game. Normal monsters have no visual cues or power boosts. As such, they will be fairly easy to defeat with a balanced group or solo. If you are on the same level as these monsters, it will be easier for you to defeat them.
Elite monsters
These monsters are comparatively stronger and stronger than normal ones. Elite monsters have a blue icon or marking above their head indicating their level. You can also find a blue visual cue on the sides of their health bar. If their level is significantly higher, we suggest that you do not engage in combat with these monsters.
Unique monsters
Unlike the aforementioned monsters that can be challenged at the same level, unique monsters can be much more difficult to defeat. These monsters have an orange icon above their head and on the sides of the health bar. To defeat them, you need a balanced team with a well-developed strategy. In addition, you can also fight them when you get stronger and level up.

Happy Monsters
Although Lucky monsters are not stronger than unique ones, they are very lucky. These monsters have some sparkles on the sides of their health bar and above their heads. So why are they called Lucky? Because these monsters reward you with guaranteed best trophies when you defeat them.
That’s it for all types of monsters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
