Polish studio The Dust presents I, the Inquisitor, a dark fantasy story-driven adventure game with action elements and difficult moral choices.
Based on author Jacek Piekar’s novels about the Inquisitors, I, the Inquisitor is a rewritten version of a religious story in which Jesus of Nazareth reacts to his crucifixion with anger and rage rather than forgiveness and compassion. And in the centuries that followed, his gang of inquisitors enforced biblical law by force. The action takes place in the city of Königstein in the 1500s. Mordimer Madderdin is forced to uncover the crimes of those who have offended the faith, as well as unravel the mystery of an even darker alien evil in the mysterious Nemir that is trying to infiltrate the world of the living.

Mordimer Madderdin has unique skills and abilities to hunt down and interrogate suspects. In addition to collecting evidence for divine judgment (to show mercy to sinners or punish them), optional interrogations based on non-traditional methods and tools will reveal some truths faster than expected. Finally, the combat system is entirely based on swords: “Master your blade, find holes and use your enemy’s weak points against them.”
I, the Inquisitor will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC (Steam).
