Wondering if there is support for Elden Ring Cross Platform and Crossplay? Don’t worry, as you are not alone. Since its launch, Elden Ring has caused many players to quit the game in rage. Since this is a Souls game, sometimes when using Summons is not enough, you may need some extra help from your experienced friends. Elden Ring cross-platform and cross-play – is there any support?
Unfortunately, there is currently no cross-platform support in Elden Ring. We’ll have to wait for either Hidenta Miyazaki or FromSoftware developers to announce the availability of cross-platform play. But since the developers have not hinted or revealed any information about cross-platform support, it is unlikely that we will be able to cross-play anytime soon.
If we track down previous Souls titles, there was no crossplay support for any of the Dark Souls and Bloodborne titles. So, in my opinion, cross-platform support for Elden Ring seems unlikely. This is more frustrating for players who prefer duels, invasions, and PvE combat in multiplayer mode rather than campaign mode. According to recent news, players have died over nine billion times while defeating difficult bosses in Elden Ring. But with some help from your friends, crossplay could work wonders during intense boss fights against Malenia, Maliket or others.
However, given the recent surprise over the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree story DLC, no complaints if FromSoftware decides to surprise us with a crossplay patch. Given the success of Elden Ring, the developers may decide to release a patch for cross-platform support in the future.

What is Cross-Gen Play (explained)
Intergenerational play allows players to communicate with players of the same series who may have different generations. For example, if you’re playing on Xbox Series X, you can invite and connect with your friend on Xbox One. Similarly, PS4 players can play with PS5 players. But since there is no cross-platform support, Xbox and PS5 players cannot play together.
While the cross-gen play features are a bit limited, at least we have cross-play options. Unlike console players, PC players can find more players when using the game across generations due to peak sales.
