Oppo A36 Launched With Snapdragon 680 SoC, 90Hz Display: Price, Specs

Oppo is rumored to be releasing the A16K smartphone soon. Last year, the company launched its budget smartphone in the Philippines. The device is expected to launch later this month for $141.

While we are waiting for this smartphone, Oppo has launched another A-series smartphone in China, the Oppo A36. The device comes with a Snapdragon processor under the hood and does not have 5G network support. The device also comes in one storage option in China.

The Oppo A35 is the company’s latest budget smartphone launched in China. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The cost of the device is 1599 yuan. It comes in two colors – black and blue.

Specifications and Features

Oppo A36 is equipped with a 6.56-inch IPS display. It has HD+ resolution and a notch in the top left corner. The phone also supports 90Hz refresh rate. The bezels around the display are thin, except for the chin.

On the back is a dual camera setup with an LED flash housed inside a rectangular module. It has a 13MP main camera and a 2MP portrait lens. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Under the hood of the A36 is the Snapdragon 680 SoC. The company offers 8GB of RAM as standard with 256GB of internal storage. The device comes with support for microSD memory cards. It is equipped with a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging. The device runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
