OPPO Reno8 and Reno8 Pro launch scheduled for mid-July: MarisiliconX chip to be unveiled

A few months ago, OPPO launched the Reno8 series smartphones in China. The company has released OPPO Reno8 Pro+, Reno8 Pro and vanilla Reno8. The Reno8 series is expected to be launched in the future in global markets as well. A few days ago, we spotted a global variant of the OPPO Reno 8 Pro 5G with SoC Dimensity 8100, which is very different from the Chinese version of the device.

Now, tipster Yogesh Brar has tweeted about the expected launch date for the Reno8 series. According to Yogesh, the Oppo8 Pro will come with MarisiliconX, and along with the Pro model, the series will also consist of another device. The OPPO Reno8 Pro with MarisiliconX is expected to launch by mid-July, which means we can expect the device to launch in the first couple of weeks of July. The vanilla OPPO Reno8 is expected to arrive alongside the Pro version of the device. Based on past leaks and rumors, here’s what we can expect from these two devices.

On the other hand, OPPO Reno8 will come with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and a 90Hz screen refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone runs MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300 SoC clocked at up to 3GHz. In addition, the Reno8 comes with a 50MP main camera and a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor on the front for selfies. The phone packs a 4500mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging.
