Realme GT 2 Pro launches on December 9, same day as Moto Edge X30

Realme is ready to launch its next GT series flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 2 Pro in China on December 9th. The company confirmed the launch date of the Realme GT 2 Pro through its official Weibo account yesterday. The device is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that Qualcomm announced earlier this month. The launch date of the Realme GT 2 Pro coincides with that of the Moto Edge X30 given that smartphone maker Lenovo has already confirmed the launch of its Edge X30 flagship on December 9th. Similar to Realme GT 2 Pro, Moto Edge. It is also confirmed that the X30 will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Realme GT 2 Pro specs and renders were leaked by OnLeaks in collaboration with 91Mobiles a few days ago. According to the leaked renders, the Realme GT 2 Pro will have a triple camera setup, a ceramic panel, and a design similar to the Nexus 6P. The smartphone is rumored to come with a 6.8-inch OLED display that could have WQHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. As mentioned above, this upcoming phone will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The device is expected to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone is rated to boot Android 11 out of the box with the Realme UI 3.0 skin on top.

In terms of optics, a 50-megapixel triple camera can be installed on the back of the device. A 50MP main sensor is expected to be accompanied by a 50MP super wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. There are rumors that the phone has a 32-megapixel camera for selfies. In addition, the smartphone also supports 125W fast charging. We can expect the device to offer connectivity features such as dual SIM support, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port, 4G VoLTE, and 5G support.
