Redmi CEO Lu Weibing took to Weibo to tease the launch of the Note 12 series. The CEO stated that Redmi has been releasing two Note series devices per year since 2021. The Note 10 was launched in the first half of 2021, while the Note 11 series debuted in the second half of 2022. Redmi will take a similar approach in 2022. Weibing didn’t reveal much about specs or features. However, he revealed that the Note 12 series will have a significant performance jump over the Note 11 series.
Rumor has it that Redmi will launch the next Note series phones with high performance MediaTek processors. Rumor has it that future Note phones could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor or even something like a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor. Digital Chat Station has previously stated that the Note 12 series will feature “distinctive industrial styling, high performance and extended battery life”.
Two Note 12 series phones, which are likely the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+, have been spotted on the TENAA website. The listing revealed that both phones will feature a 6.6-inch display. The 12 Pro will have a 4980 mAh battery, while the 12 Pro+ will have a 4300 mAh battery. The devices will run Android 12 out of the box and will come with two storage options – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.
There are also rumors that Xiaomi will launch the Note 11T in China with a 144Hz LCD display. The phone is different from the budget Note 11T 5G released in India, which is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and a 90Hz AMOLED display.
