Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 12 series in the global market. The company introduced three flagship premium smartphones in Europe. Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X are expected to arrive soon. While we wait for official launch details, some details about the top-end Xiaomi 12 Ultra have been leaked online.
It looks like Xiaomi has delayed the launch of the 12 Ultra in China. The company is currently silent on the launch of its top Android flagship smartphone, which usually launches in March. A new report from PriceBaba has revealed the launch schedule for Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone. Let’s take a look at Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications, launch schedule and other details.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra launch schedule
Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to be launched in the coming months. A new report says the flagship Android smartphone will debut in May. Xiaomi will first launch the device in China and then in other markets.
Citing whistleblower Mukul Sharma, the report did not provide an exact launch date. Details about the 12 Ultra are floating around the net. Some reports claim that the secondary display next to the camera module will disappear this year. Instead, Xiaomi will offer a huge camera module that will house four camera sensors, an LED flash module, and Leica branding. The camera setup will likely include a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and two periscope camera sensors.
Tipster Digital Chat Station previously revealed that the phone will feature a QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will come with a 4900mAh battery and 120W fast charging support. The 12 Ultra is also reported to ship with the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC, with a launch date yet to be announced. The upcoming Snapdragon chipset will feature some minor improvements over the existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
Other details about the device remain unknown. We can expect the 12 Ultra to ship with MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. It will have multiple storage options, with up to 12GB of RAM and at least 256GB of internal storage. More details should appear online in the coming days.
