Another very exciting update is coming to Drive in the coming weeks as part of the collaborative Smart Canvas initiative. Google will introduce a toolbar to make it easier to share, upload, move, and delete multiple files at once. Google will also add the ability to filter files by type – Document, Video, PDF, etc. zip – without looking for anything first. Better file management in Drive is always nice.

Documents will also have several new features. Starting today, you can access the stopwatch right in the app, which can be useful if you want to focus on smaller tasks. In the coming weeks, Docs will also welcome emoji reactions to comments, which can be used to highlight a response, for example. The calendar invitation template will also be available in the app soon.

A feature that can be more interesting in everyday life are date tags. By simply typing @today, @yesterday, @tomorrow, and @date, you can quickly add the corresponding date to a document without checking the calendar. This feature is available to everyone today, with the ability to add stock market and currency values using the @ label followed by the company name, stock abbreviation, or currency.
