Call of Duty Vanguard is right here and fans are very excited to jump in and see what kind of world war drama Sledgehammer Games has in store. Vanguard’s open beta has been pretty successful aside from the rampant scams and hacks, but overall the game feels like a very balanced and fun multiplayer game that feels just as familiar and fresh.
One of the things fans are excited about for the upcoming release is the fact that Vanguard will indeed be one of the next-gen releases to help push PC settings to the max. For PC enthusiasts, Call of Duty Vanguard is definitely what they need, and Binox, Vanguard’s PC development lead, just posted the system requirements – and it looks pretty good.
Call of Duty Vanguard will indeed have a smaller install size at launch
Minimum system requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300
- RAM: 8 GB
- Storage: 36 GB at launch (multiplayer and zombies only)
- GPU/VRAM: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470/2 GB
- Recommended drivers: NVIDIA: 472.12 / AMD: 21.9.1
- Hi-Rez Assets Cache: up to 32 GB (Hi-Rez Assets Cache can be disabled in the game settings)
Recommended system requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- RAM: 12 GB
- Memory: 61 GB at launch
- GPU/VRAM: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580/4 GB
- Recommended drivers: NVIDIA: 472.12 / AMD: 21.9.1
- Hi-Rez Assets Cache: up to 32 GB (Hi-Rez Assets Cache can be disabled in the game settings)
In addition to the minimum and recommended settings, Beenox has also released the Competitive / Ultra 4K system requirements:

PC players who pre-order Call of Duty Vanguard will be able to pre-download the game based on their region. Refer to the map above for when players can preload the game.
When Sledgehammer first announced that Vanguard’s rig size would indeed be smaller, many were left skeptical at best. However, it looks like the development team has managed to get the install size down to a very comfortable number, at least at launch, it remains to be seen what that will look like after a couple of updates.
