Realme GT 2 Series Officially Announced Features: With 150° Super Wide Angle Lens and Fisheye Camera

Realme is gearing up to launch the GT 2 series. The company is expected to launch at least two new devices, the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro. The company has yet to announce an official launch date for its next flagship. Ahead of the launch, Realme held a special event where it unveiled some of the new innovative features coming with the Realme GT 2 series. The company announced three new technology features that will be world-first coming with the GT 2 series. Let’s take a look at the confirmed features of the new Realme GT series 2.

Realme GT 2 Series Features Revealed

Realme did not showcase the GT 2 series today at its special event. Instead, the company announced several world-first technology features. The three features announced at the event will be available in the GT 2 series.

The first such feature is related to the design of the device. Realme has announced that it has adopted a minimalist, eco-friendly paper-inspired design for the GT 2 Pro. The company worked with designer Naoto Fukasawa to design its flagship smartphone. The back cover of the GT 2 Pro uses biopolymer material, which serves as an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil raw materials that contribute to global warming.

The second “world-first”feature is the ultra-wide camera with a 150-degree field of view. Realme hasn’t shared any details about the sensor, but the phone is rumored to use a 50MP sensor. The company has confirmed some special software features, including the world’s first fisheye mode for smartphones on the GT 2 Pro.

Finally, the GT 2 Pro is equipped with a matrix antenna array system consisting of three technologies: Ultra Wide Band Antenna Switching (HyperSmart), Wi-Fi Enhancer, and 360° Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. HyperSmart Antenna Switching Technology includes 12 antennas that cover all sides of the phone and support the main bands in almost all directions, all with the same signal strength. This allows the GT 2 Pro to intelligently evaluate the signal strength of all antennas and automatically select the one that gives the best signal.

The GT 2 Pro also integrates two top cellular antennas with an NFC signal transceiver function. This increases the trigger zone by 500 percent and the trigger distance by 20 percent. The entire top of the GT 2 Pro accepts NFC signals in any direction, making it easy to use NFC to read cards or smartphones. Realme has not confirmed a launch date for the GT 2 series. We can expect an official launch in January 2022. Let us know what you think of the GT 2 series and the new features announced today.
