Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance is almost here and Apex Games’ newest Legend is looking to make a big impact at launch. Mad Maggie, the crazed warlord of the Volley, sentenced to the Apex Games, brings a lot to the table, including a pretty versatile kit.
Crazy Maggie looks set to be an offensive-based character, perfect for players who tend to have a run-and-gun style. Her passive is due to the fact that she can use a shotgun to move faster than normal and see enemies she hurts through walls.
Crazy Maggie can become an S-Tier Legend, capable of single-handedly taking on entire squads. Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance will release on February 8, 2022.
Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance, Mad Maggie Passive, Tactical and Ultimate
Passive – Warlord’s Rage
- Temporarily highlight enemies you’ve damaged and move faster with your shotgun.
Tactical Ability – Drill
- Shoot a drill that burns enemies through obstacles.
Ultimate – Shattering Ball
- Throw a ball that releases speed pads and explodes near enemies.
From the looks of it, Mad Maggie seems to be in the same vein as Octane, given that most of her abilities revolve around speed and relentlessly chasing enemies. Maggie’s passive can come in very handy when you’re trying to hunt down melee players and finish them off before they can revive their teammates or collect their banners.
Maggie’s tactical abilities can break through Gibraltar’s shield, making her an incredibly useful part of a squad. This is a great way to balance Gibraltar’s shield without nerfing it to death. Finally, her Ultimate seems to be the weakest link in her set, as it is essentially a giant grenade that fires speed-boosting pads.
While it has the potential to be extremely tenacious in close combat, it may take a bit of experimentation to get the results you want.
