Google Pixel 7 Pro case hints at phone design, Visor is still there

Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 7 series in October 2022. Prior to launch, early renders of the Pixel 7 Pro revealed the camera and body design of the smartphone. In a recent development, TechGoing revealed the back case design of the Google Pixel 7 Pro, confirming the design shown via CAD rendering.

These new images show that the assumptions we’ve heard so far are solid enough to be used as a basis for accessory development. The Google Pixel 7 Pro has tiny bezels and a horizontal notch on the back that houses the camera sensors and LED flash, just like last year’s Pixel 6 Pro. Let’s take a closer look at the Pixel 7 Pro’s body design, camera specs, and everything we know.

Case visualization for Google Pixel 7 Pro

The back cover of the Google Pixel 7 Pro has surfaced online. The front and back of the phone are familiar. It features narrow bezels and gently curved edges. On the right side are the power button and volume rockers. The speaker grilles and the USB Type-C connector are located on the underside of the phone.

Two standard size lenses are housed in the same body, with one lens separately housed in a horizontal module at the rear. There is also an additional microphone for noise reduction and an LED flash. We don’t expect any major changes to the Pixel 7’s photography hardware compared to the Pixel 6, but small changes are likely.

Typically, these renders come from various case manufacturers who received important device sizing information prior to production. Despite the lack of a front-facing camera in these images, the Pixel 7 Pro is expected to feature a punch-hole design similar to the Pixel 6 Pro.

The previous report detailed the camera specs of the Pixel 7 Pro. The report claims that the vanilla Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will have the same camera specs as the currently available models of the Pixel 6 series. The Pro phone will feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor, and 48MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
